KRA Canal Project

If we don't make sufficient preparation now to change our financial standing, plot our financial blueprint and make use of our remarkable human resources and education setting to develop Singapore into an international learning and research hub, continuing to upgrade our people's creativity and ability to create our own brands and products; if we depend solely on the travel industry and integrated resorts, Singapore would just become another Venice with the building of the KRA Canal. If that happens, our fellow Singaporeans might be forced to move abroad for survival in future.

如果我们现在不提前做好充分的准备,转型我们的经济体制,重新规划我们的经济蓝图,利用我们优良的人力资源和教育环境把新加坡开发成为国际学术研讨中心和不断的提升国人的创新与创意能力制造自己的品牌和产品,若单单只靠旅游业和赌场,Kra运河的落实,新加坡将会变成另外一个威尼斯。我们新加坡的人民到时将会面对离乡到其他国家谋生的结局。
