Using our resources to provide scholarships for overseas students to come to Singapore to further their studies in lieu of using the funds to offset operating costs so that our local students can enjoy subsidies for quality tertiary education?

Doesn't the government know that politicians should take care of their own country's children first before wanting to help other children?

If we are not even able to provide the best environment and technology to groom and train our own country's children, yet we choose to nurture other children - wouldn't this create a situation where our own children are at the losing end when faced with competition from foreigners in future?
If this basic concept is not even met, how are they able to govern their own home country well? How can we entrust our children's future into their hands?
